Sunday - OOSAR-Top of Baldy - Upcoming Winter Exercises

Three members of the Oliver Osoyoos Search and Rescue were at the top of Baldy on Sunday afternoon to work on their communications equipment. Thanks for the photos Rob Selsing.

Other OOSAR News:

Upcoming for Oliver/Osoyoos SAR is our winter campout at the line shack on Saturday January 23 and Sunday January 24. We will be out there working on navigation, avalanche transceiver practice, building winter shelter, building a fire (not as easy to do in the cold and snow as it is in warm dry weather), and snowmobile operations. This is a training opportunity not just for OOSAR but for our mutual aid partners in the South Okanagan/Similkameen. We will see members from Penticton Search and Rescue, Keremeos Search and Rescue, and Princeton Ground Search and Rescue out for this weekend with us.

We ask people to be aware that there will be extra vehicles and people around 27km point on McKinney Road. January 23-24.
