Snow in the North Bowl

After a heavy snow winter, it is not unusual to find a little snow in the North Bowl in August - sometimes has a hint of pink from whatever grows on it. Richard Webster from Grand Cache Alberta hiked to the top and in to the bowl with the family today - this pic lifted from Dad's Facebook page, more to come from Aunt Sheila.

If you have never seen the North Bowl in the summer, it is an amazing collection of huge rocks. In the winter, it is tempting, but out of bounds, and avalanche training and equipment is required.
