Ski Tune and Binding Check

Has your gear been collecting dust in the basement? Best to get your bindings serviced and checked, and a ski tune preseason.

In Penticton, the Apex Ski Shop on Westminster has been serving Baldy customers for decades - the Van Os family second generation now runs the shop, and they say if Jeff can't fix it, it can't be fixed!

Stay Tuned Sports in Kelowna is owned by Rick Swanson, a descendant of one of Fred and Ethel's employees on Hollyburn Mountain. It's a busy place, so get your gear in early - in the winter you might just find an entire ski team's skis ahead of you in line. He has retail gear, and boot fitting.

Fresh Air Experience in Kelowna has served the Baldy community well. Mark usually deals with Owen, but I've had good service from other staff - they love to ski Baldy too. Morgan has worked for them - they have two stores in Kelowna - haven't seen Morgan to find out if he is still with them.

I hope BMR is able to attract a good ski shop technician for the mountain.

On his blog this morning, Snowy Joey recommends a shop in Banff, where he had the new rental gear tuned.
