The BC Wildfire Service is responding to the Upper Park Rill Creek wildfire (K52813), located approximated 10 kilometres west of Okanagan Falls. This wildfire is estimated at 100 hectares in size and is displaying an organized flame front with moderate to fast rate of spread.

Four Initial Attack Crews and three single resources are on site, as well as three helicopters, heavy equipment, airtankers and skimmers. Structure protection crews are assessing and triaging for structure protection.

The Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen has issued an Evacuation order for the vicinity of this wildfire. Please visit their website for updates on the status of Evacuation Alerts and Orders: https://emergency.rdos.bc.ca/latest-updates/

For the safety of pilots and the public, we ask people in the area to be aware of their surroundings and stay clear of skimmers and helicopters working out of nearby lakes.
