Helmet absorbs some of the impact..............Thank-you for sharing the photo.

Take a good look at the photo. I don't want to imagine what the head would have looked like if the skier had not been wearing a helmet.

A member of our community sustained season ending injuries last week. Yes, that is a hospital blanket in the photo, but he is now in the recovery phase at home. There is no doubt in my mind that his injuries could have been much worse without a helmet.

I don't know what shape the tree is in, but grateful that he had the helmet, was skiing with friends, and was found right away.

I asked for a photo, and appreciate that it was provided.
