A good turn out of families with friends, and a lot of stuff went to the burn pile this weekend. Special thanks to those who provided their trailers and trucks for hauling, and Steve gets the recognition for the most hauled for other people.
The biggest transformation was the Tomlin/Varga cabin, and probably the most material hauled. It looks great and will get a lot more sun.
Wayne D. hauled debris, and coaxed MB off a ladder so he could re-attach some trim for her.
Wildfire Mitigation Specialist Dan Stevens had a busy day with assessments and a walk about with members of the FireSmart board. At the barbeque he made many more connections and added significantly to his list of properties to assess.
Thanks to Trevor, more than 40 people were fed great burgers. Troy and Quinn were able helpers. There was a good social time had by all. It worked out well for new and long time owners to get to know each other. Great to see several families represented by 3 generations.
Thanks to Mike and Sage from Apex - not only for doing work at the Crowsnest, but also sharing their thoughts from Mike's structural fire fighting experience, and Sage's experience with the community associations at Apex.
