Steve and friends were skiing Chix Dig It, and he followed someone else's track to transition to the Baldy Trail. He caught an edge, the right ski came off, the left ski came off, and the last thing he remembers is slamming down on his chest and skidding across the Baldy Trail. He was unconscious for a short time.
He will be in a neck brace for many weeks, but otherwise is mobile, and grateful.
You will keep seeing this photo - Steve intends to have the helmet displayed for educational purposes.
