Rest in Peace, Silvia Albrecht

"It's with heartfelt sorrow that I want to let everyone know that Silvia passed away peacefully at Oliver General Hospital yesterday at 5:30pm.

I want to let everyone know that Silvia heard, looked at and acknowledged all the messages that were posted on the last Facebook post. If you have any pictures, please feel free to post on here.

I am planning to host a celebration of life in the Spring once the weather and travel is safer. I will keep everyone posted once I have a firm date.

I appreciate all the support and well wishes that I have received from everyone.

Silvia was the Ticket Office Supervisor at Baldy for several years. She came to us with experience from Sunshine Village, and worked while she and Fritz built up their business and home, Baergnaescht Bed & Breakfast

Silvia had a couple of strokes just over a month ago, and passed away yesterday in the Oliver hospital. I regret not stopping by to squeeze her hand and talk to her. She could not talk, but read every message of encouragement on the post Fritz put on her Facebook page.

Silvia had a sleep over at my place a time or two. It was important to her that opening day would go smoothly. I would recognize the people as they came through the door, and pull their file to help her streamline the pass process.

With the ticket office just inside the front door, everyone knew her.

I know I have many more photos - will be looking for them for Fritz.
