For those of you expressing your wish to me about new ownership - yes it would be nice to have an ownership group who were passionate about the ski industry. In the meantime, I believe it is important to support the BMR team on the ground. We don't need to lose any more good people. A successful ski operation is important for all of us.
Thanks to Chris and Kristina. When they sold their business, they included arrangements for BMR to continue to use the location for a drop off spot for this season.
Thanks to Rod for being a good resource person for Colleen and Brandan with his wealth of ski industry experience.
Thanks to Hilary and Cheryl for working with Brandan to get the Baldy Babes going again last season. They will be joined by Marian tomorrow for the start of the new season.
I don't have all the names, but thank-you to the parents who have stepped up to run the Alpine Club again. It looks like Jeff has been helping with the club website that he so generously provided to the club.
Thanks Paul Rauhala for going above and beyond for the Alpine Club for so many years, including long after your kids aged out of the system.
Thanks to Wayne C. for looking after the neighbourhood, and helping the new village snow removal contractor as he discovered where the ditches were.
Thanks to the BMR employees. I learned yesterday that I was not the only one to write a positive letter to Brandan about the friendly well trained lift operators.
Thank-you to anyone who reads this and chooses to do or say something positive.
