Coincidence

When I posted the cover photo last night of Shaft groomed top to bottom, I had no idea there was a winch cat coming on a demo.

It will be interesting to see what they do with it this weekend.

Back in the day:

  • Bob tobogganed a cat down Powder Keg from the top and ended up on Maverick
  • What you call "Lower South Ridge", was Stemwinder - one spring Terry groomed it from the Baldy Trail all the way down to the lower part of the Baldy Trail
  • Russell would sometimes groom Chix Dig It in the spring - Ethel's favourite
  • Honky Tonk was sometimes groomed - not straight over the top. One pass  - just beyond the top of the run, and the rest of the run groomed from the bottom of the pitch.
Fresh runs were appreciated in the spring, as we did not have tillers.
