I have been dutifully taking Vitamin D in tablet form, but after having restrictions eased a bit last week, I am getting some natural Vitamin D. I have had two recent consults with Penticton based specialists. The suggestion was made if there was a good year to be injured, this was probably it with low snow. The look on their faces was priceless when I shot right back with Baldy has lots of snow. Both expressed an interest in coming to Baldy. One said he had heard there was good back country skiing - I told him he didn't have too - there is plenty of powder in bounds.
I'll try not to think about them on Baldy while I finish up my captivity at home.
On the bright side, the Orthopedic Surgeon said the bone is healing well, and gave me clearance for full weight bearing. He also indicated a gradual return to normal activity at 6 weeks, not the 8 I had been told by another Doc. Less than 2 weeks to go.
This summer will include a serious look at the driveway, as that is now 2 fractures in the exact same spot in the driveway.
Tool Shed Roof from above - quick hop over the railing. |
Feels good to be doing stuff outside. I am very grateful for all the friends and family who have helped me through the first four weeks.
The door was cleared a couple of times early in the season, but there is a lot of digging to do before camping season. |
