• as previously reported, the spacing is an FESBC project
• FESBC grants are for Crown Land, not private property - there are parcels of private property along the Baldy Road, so there are gaps in the spacing project
• the decked logs are not firewood - they are part of a fibre recovery initiative that will see more fibre available for the pulp mill in Castlegar. They have a chipper in Midway.
• The lead operator on the project did one around Big White, and is respected for his work
• They have been on early shift, and have taken some days off, presumably due to fire hazard indices
