Sunny afternoon, no wind, great groomers. Lots of shovel work on the Sugar unload. Today, it didn't blow away. If you are new to the village, ask a local to show you how to ski back from Sugar to the village.
Greenwood Elementary Grades 4 - 7 were on the hill today. The trio I rode with were having a blast, and discussing how fast they could get back down to have one more run. The buses for the Boundary students have to leave by 2:00, and they really wanted to stay on such a nice day.
A casual conversation with the teacher at the bottom included an inquiry about the Blands - the teacher remembered them from her childhood when her Dad was working on their cabin. Her family home in the '70's was what is now the "North Canyon Ranch." I would often stop by on my way up the hill to talk to her Dad - he did the foundation for my cabin in '77, and I worked with him on the roof in January of '78. It was good to connect with her. We have both heard alot about each other from her Mom, Pat Henley.
