Jerry is using his chainsaw............

If you didn't see Jerry when he was up at the cabin last week, his healing has progressed well, to the point he is back using his chainsaw. I saw him Saturday, and he is looking better.

One of the conversations we had was about our lot purchases. He paid $500 more than I did in 1973. My Uncle gave me the heads up in February that the price was going up in the spring. Jerry and I both borrowed some of the money from our Dads.

March 25th was Uncle Paul Fairweather's birthday, 118 years since his birth in England.

I am forever grateful for all his support and encouragement in doing things in the great outdoors. With his ownership group, he started the ski area. Lots of memories, including coming up in the back of his Land Rover in 1967 when the last four miles of road had been roughed in. My cousin and I played in the snow in the fall of 1968 on McKinney while the T-bar installation was going on. My Dad was an educator, but my Uncle would bring me up on a school day to ski on my birthday.

Prior to Baldy, Uncle Paul took me up the Borderline rope tow between his legs.

Uncle Paul helped with the construction of my cabin, providing a "family discount" on things I needed from Osoyoos Hardware and Lumber.

Jerry and Mike on Saturday, 178? years of combined wisdom.
