Mail and Voting info for new residents

Your one "free" place to get your mail, is at a collection of mail boxes on McKinney Road, across from the Osoyoos Indian Band office , and along a little bit.

When you sign up at the post office, your address is your Baldy street address, Mount Baldy, B.C, V0H 1T8.

A few years ago, addresses were changed, to have postal and residential addresses match. The place I get my mail never changed, but the address did.

At that time, we fought with Canada Post who were suggesting we get our mail within RDKB boundaries. They wanted us to get our mail in Bridesville. In one of my letters, I reminded them that they were not "Regional District Post".

One former Canada Post employee was amazed that we were able to get Oliver instead of Bridesville. The old postal region maps were drawn up prior to the McKinney Road extension to Baldy.

elections.ca   has voting info, including a place to insert your postal code for information.

I have generally voted in Rock Creek, but last time, with the voting card, I was able to vote in Oliver.
