We are fortunate to have a great snowpack, and extended season. At the start of the season, there was a full compliment of lift operators, and a few part timer spares. Before the holidays were over, those who wanted part time were working full time.
Things are stretched now to the point that I was loaded by an electrician yesterday, and the hill manager today. Being a lift operator involves some of the time outside in inclement weather. There are operators who do well and come back for a second season, and those who don't last a season. For those who stick it out, there is an end of season bonus.
