Where our Eagle Chair once was...........

The drive station was back behind the base of this one, and the towers ran a little farther to the right from the current lift.

It was the "Blue Chair" at Mt. Washington. The replacement is named the "Eagle Express." The "Blue Chair" was already dismantled and in the parking lot when guys from Borderline Ski Club went to check it out. As a community, we raised the funds to purchase, transport, and upgrade the lift to current code. In the last few years a new haul rope has been installed, and the electrical system upgraded.

I looked at the above replacement lift and thought it didn't look very new............but then we've had the Eagle up and running at Baldy for more than 2 decades.
