Community Minded, and not over committed?

 Regional District of Kootenay Boundary

We’re Updating the Region’s Solid Waste Management Plan — and We Want YOU at the Table!
The RDKB is kicking off a refresh of our Solid Waste Management Plan - the roadmap that guides how we reduce, reuse, recycle, compost, and manage garbage across the region for the next 10 years.
And we’re building a brand-new Public & Technical Advisory Committee (PTAC) to help shape it.
We’re looking for volunteers from all corners of the RDKB: residents, recyclers, businesses, First Nations, community groups, and anyone passionate about reducing waste and protecting our environment.
🗓️ Just five meetings over two years → big impact, small time commitment
💬 Your voice will help us extend landfill life, improve services, and move toward zero waste
📅 Apply by January 9
RDKB Board Chair Grace McGregor says it best:
“This is our chance to build a waste plan that truly reflects who we are and where we’re going. We need local voices at the table.”

Just like this peel, our Waste Plan is getting a major refresh
