Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, Enjoy your day

Thank-you to my Baldy family for your kindness and generosity. I've had hugs delivered, along with home baked cookies , ready to eat meals, meals to freeze, homemade salsa and antipasto, and a homemade special pancake mix with instructions. I also had a season supply of kindling and some garden produce delivered in the fall.

The timing was perfect yesterday, as I have already eaten all the cookies made by my niece, and the ones shipped by my sister from Toronto. ( I did share - a few).

Ken Ozanne, the "Wizard", referred to himself as an OB on a FI.  "Old bugger on a fixed income." Now that I am in that position, buying a lot of gifts is not something I can do, but I do my best to do things for my friends and this community all year long. All the visits yesterday were very much appreciated.

There is a vehicle in the village belonging to a special friend who hasn't been on the mountain for a long time. I'm so glad you are here - healing is always better on the mountain than in the city! Welcome home.

A long trip from Victoria to Baldy yesterday for one vehicle. I'm not sure which route they took, but the word to Mom and Dad was that the trip was "pretty good." They may live in the city, but Oliver and Baldy raised makes for good sensible drivers.

For many years I shovelled and  lit fires Friday nights for families arriving late , particularly those with young children. No little kids in the car last night, but happy to make things a little easier for those arriving after a long drive.
