I happened to be out on my deck a couple of weeks ago when Al was walking by. He told me about bracelayer, and the endorsement from a cabin full of physiotherapists.
I ordered a pair, wore them in the cabin for a bit, and today I put them to the test on the hill. Too many folks on the hill that I wanted to see, and not happy after a month of not skiing.
Bracelayer supports the knees and apparently helps with retraining the alignment of the leg. One theory being that whatever I have done to compensate for the original problem has contributed to additional pain.
I am happy with my four runs today. Tolerable pain at the original site, but none of the extreme pain I had been dealing with in certain positions.
Happy to connect with this North Van family. First time meeting the kids, and an easy bond when I told them I know their Grandma.I didn't get a photo, but the family living behind me are all snowboarding now. I couldn't catch 3 of the kids, but was intrigued watching the four year old boy. He was very tired, and ready to go home, but his stance and balance were excellent, and he has mastered technique and subtle foot movements that far exceed what I usually see in beginner snowboarders.
