A little FireSmart good news! Our 2026 Residential FireSmart Rebate Program has been a HUGE success, with RDKB residents taking meaningful steps to make their homes and neighbourhoods more wildfire-resilient.
We’re now approaching our full 2026 rebate funding allocation, so new applications are temporarily on hold while we review applications already received, in the order they came in.
Already applied? Your application has been received! We’re working through submissions and will contact you directly once we know whether funding is available for your project.
And don’t worry - FireSmart isn’t stopping! We’ll continue providing FireSmart assessments, education and support across the region.
We’ll share updates as they become available, including information about potential 2027 funding.
