Rodent(s) !!!

I have been ignoring this for a bit, but some critter is having a great time burrowing under the bank where all my bulbs are, and even tunnelling beside a culvert. There were some droppings outside the basement that were larger and darker than squirrels or mice.

I do have a live trap and a camera I can set up. I do not want to use poison with family pets and young kids living in the village.

My first thought was to shove a hose down an entry point and flush it out with water, but all entry points are covered.

If you know what kind of rodent is doing this and have any suggestions, I would be happy to hear them.

Pocket gophers! And they stink too ! Water hosing doesn’t work, we have tried that. We were told air gun works well, don’t bother with the sonic blaster , coyote urine or the kill trap. We decided to dig up the turf under our sun deck and change it to a rock scape . If you come up with something that works let us know. We believe the drought and lack of predators have contributed to a population explosion of these rodents, take photographs of what you have left, because they will eat everything .
