In government press conferences, they recommend monetary donations be made to the Red Cross, United Way, or at BC Liquor Stores. The United Way is collecting items in Penticton for Princeton and Merritt. This morning the Mayor of Princeton indicated that they are out of space for clothing etc, and that monetary donations would be preferred.
Penticton Toyota is collecting tools for clean up including shovels, squeegees, fans, heaters etc, and Westhills Aggregates trucks and equipment accompanied by a truck from the Penticton Fire Department will be delivering and assisting on the weekend.
