Sunshine Thursday

There was nothing groomed this morning, so the runs were rather firm to start the day. Some nice corn snow later in the day.

Reminds me of spring skiing before the invention of the tiller. Thirty years ago, the ski club acquired a "powder maker" - free - just had to pay the freight. We had compactor bars, but the powder maker gave us another option. It was a set of three expanded metal rollers, pulled behind the cat. It had wooden bearings, and was given to the McKinney Nordic Club.

Prior to compactor bars, the cat pulled a culvert that rolled behind to pack the snow.
