A few changes since I last went to town. The garbage near the staff shack has been cleaned up.
It looks like salvage log hauling is about to ramp up, with new stop signs where FSRs meet McKinney Road, and many new logging truck crossing signs,
There is a mushroom buyer sign down near Shrike Hill, and several vehicles parked beside the burn.
When I see Balsamroot, I always think of Nanna Smith. My grandparents stopped at the roadside on their way from the coast, and brought a bouquet of these flowers. The bouquet and Nanna were covered with ticks.
