"Horsefeathers" was started by young people from the Rock Creek area. I recently learned that they got the name from one of the grandmothers who used that term for nonsense.
Horsefeathers supplied the staff uniforms at one time - the red instructor jackets, and the orange lift op jackets. Many people bought ski outfits, including OMW who had hers stolen in a cabin break-in.
The image I have in my mind is one of young Rutka, Zuzana and their brother Hanus (sorry I don't know how to put the mark over the s) sitting on a bench in the bar waiting for a ride home after a day of snowboarding.
Hanus expanded the business in the Czech Republic, and I recently learned that their clothing it available in Kelowna.
