Snow Volume

I am reminded of three particular snow events.

In the '70's - Nov. 11th was part of a long weekend. It snowed like this the whole weekend. We were so excited - we figured we were legitimately snowed in and could skip school. There was only one road - the one from Highway 3. Unfortunately the road was cleared and we had to go to school.

In the '80's - It was a storm like this, and I took a day off work so I wouldn't miss the powder. It was so deep, that the lift ops and patrol could barely make it up on the Baldy Tee. I took my first run down shaft - it was so deep I poled straight down.

In the early '90's - we had a lot of snow in November, and had more than enough to open on the last weekend in November. The first day we had crowds like Boxing Day or the 27th. We had the snow, and they came from Grand Forks, Kelowna - lots of people.
