North Shore Rescue with the Night Vision Goggle flight capability is a great addition for all SAR teams across the province. This particular call last night would have been close to a 2 hour snowmobile ride in a toboggan out to an ambulance and then an ambulance ride from the Graystrokes parking area to Kelowna General Hospital. COSAR was able to get the subject to one of the cabins in the Graystrokes area until the helicopter arrived. From the cabin to Kelowna Airport was less than a 10 minute flight.
