Power line issues...........

Two bucket trucks were back up on Tin-Horn at 2:30 this morning, and I am now aware of 3 cabins and one utility building with power service pulled away at the building, which requires them to get an electrician as well as Fortis to reconnect.

The recent weather conditions are not common, but I do recall similar challenges at least twice before - one in particular in November around 1984.

One member of our FireSmart group had discussions last fall with Fortis regarding the removal they do of dead trees that may be a threat to the power lines. This series of outages has cost Fortis a lot of money in overtime, and I would expect that they would be more than willing to sit down with us at some point to see what can be done.

The map I was given when I purchased my leased lot in 1973 does not show the upper half of the village. My original street side corner pins were moved to widen the road allowance. My front corner pins are actually on top of the bank, set back a bit. It may be worth discussing removal of trees that appear to be on private property, but are actually on strata common property. The lots behind mine have corner pins that are below the road.

Something to think about after the SGM.
