I wasn't around when it happened, but saw the tree debris down the street. Just learned tonight that one of my neighbours had a large tree come down on their car in their driveway recently, inflicting significant damage.
The pines are at, near, or past their life span. The snow load was heavy taking down several trees before the sun gave them some relief.
As you plan your summer work, take a good look around - there are more reasons than just FireSmart to remove trees.
