Nice visit with Chris and Colleen today. My first exposure to Altai Hok skis was through them. They have newer model Altai skis - Colleen's have a fish scale underfoot. The ones Chris has have the skins underfoot - newer model. They are longer than the Hok - better for tele, while the Hok were more snow shoe terrain types.
The skins are better climbers, and the fish scales are better for skiing. Both Chris and Colleen are accomplished tele skiers.
The 1988 Forerunner that we are familiar with has over 800,000kms on it, and is still on the road in Penticton. Nice new wheels.
