We had an amazing weekend with our Baldy Bluejays volunteer adaptive snow sports instructors, who took part in training for the 2026 season. A big thank you to Cal and Chris, our Powderhounds volunteers, for leading our refresher course. A big Shout Out to Baldy Mountain Resort for all of your support.
Thank-you to the Baldy volunteers who continue to support the Baldy Blue Jays Adaptive program. Training for instructors is at Baldy, time commitment is not huge. Talk to one of our local instructors, and consider joining the team next season. Nancy, Lyle, James, Rod and others are now multi season instructors.
I taught adaptive lessons many years ago. They were some of the most rewarding teaching experiences I had.
I approached a number of long time ski instructors when Bryce was originally getting the Baldy program together, with no luck. Now that the program is established, think about it. Lessons are pre-booked, and a little of your time can make a big difference in helping others enjoy the outdoors as we do.
