When we removed a memorial plaque from a broken tree today, I flagged the tree. We were unable to reach and remove the screws. Any nails or screws in timber that ends up in a chipper or mill can have serious consequences.
Make some plans for Spring Break - bring a hand saw or pole saw to limb up some trees, and remove nails and screw from any trees in your yard that have held signs or bird feeders, but may be destined for chipping or a mill.
